CM Dr Manik Saha & Sushanta Chowdhury inaugurates 41-foot glass Ganesh idol at Ranirbazar

Agartala, September 19, 2023: In a momentous occasion graced by the presence of the Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha, a sacred lamp was lit on Tuesday evening at Ranirbazar Motor Stand to symbolize the dispelling of evil energies and the awakening of good energies. This act marked the auspicious inauguration of Ganesh Bandana, organized by the Vinayak Social Organization. The event witnessed the unveiling of a 41-foot-high glass Ganesh idol, a first-of-its-kind in Tripura.

The Ganesh festival holds deep significance, with devotees believing that worshipping Lord Ganesha brings good luck and prosperity into their lives. In recent years, the celebration of Ganesha Puja has gained momentum in villages and hills across the state, setting the stage for the festive spirit that precedes Durgotsav.

The centerpiece of this grand celebration was the awe-inspiring 41-foot-tall glass statue of Lord Ganesh Tagore. The event also featured a lighting pylon and meticulously crafted marquee decorations. The Tripura Board of Secondary Education used this occasion to honour and felicitate several exceptionally talented local students from the Ranirbazar area, applauding their contributions to the community.

Expressing gratitude for this remarkable spectacle, Prof Dr Manik Saha extended his thanks to the local residents, as well as the officers and members of the Vinayak Social Organization, for their dedication in organizing the splendid Ganesh Bandana.

Dignitaries in attendance included Ranirbazar Municipal Council Chairperson Aparna Shukla Das, Vice-Chairperson Prabir Kumar Das, and prominent philanthropists Gouranga Bhowmik, Goutam Majumder, and Partha Sarthi Saha. The event drew an esteemed gathering of distinguished guests, all united in the celebration of this joyous occasion.
