Agartala Feb 03: With crucial assembly elections on cards, BJP National president JP Nadda and Union Minister Smriti Irani reached Tripura on Friday to take part in BJPs election campaign.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, BJP National Spokesperson Sambit Patra among others accorded the national leaders a warm reception at MBB Airport, Agartala.
While JP Nadda is scheduled to address two ‘Vijay Sankalp’ rallies at PWD grounds in Kumarghat and Chandibari Grounds in Amarpur, Smriti Irani will address two rallies at AD Nagar School ground and Nalchar.
The arrival of both the veteran party leaders will be a morale boost for the party karyakartas ahead of the elections.
Election to the 60-member Tripura assembly is scheduled to be held on February 16-next. The BJP has fielded candidates in 55 assembly seats while 5 seats have been allotted to its ally IPFT.
