CM Reviews TTAADC Poll Outcome with BJP Candidates, Assesses Ground Situation

Date:

Agartala, 25th April 2026:   Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday held a meeting with BJP candidates who contested the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council elections to evaluate the poll outcome and review the overall situation on the ground.

The meeting was attended by Rajib Bhattacharya and Minister Santana Chakma, along with party leaders and cluster in-charges.  Speaking after the meeting, the Chief Minister said discussions were held with candidates who contested the TTAADC elections conducted on April 12. Feedback was gathered on the election process as well as the post-poll scenario.

“We have created clusters, and their in-charges are present here. Along with other senior leaders, we are reviewing reports from candidates to understand the overall situation,” he said.

Dr. Saha added that the review covered all phases of the election — before, during, and after polling — including challenges faced and gaps that need to be addressed in the future.

He noted that the situation has since improved, with security forces actively deployed. “The police are working round the clock, and the overall law and order situation is now better,” he said.

The TTAADC elections were held on April 12, with results announced on April 17. Tipra Motha Party secured a decisive victory with 24 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party won 4 out of the 28 seats.
