Agartala, 10th August 2025:  Ahead of the celebration of Independence Day, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today has appealed to the people of the state to make the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme a success across the state.

Addressing the media at his official residence in Agartala today, Dr. Saha said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Yatra programme two years ago, highlighting its importance in every household.

“Two years have passed since then, and this is the third year we are holding this programme. This programme has been started in three phases. Today as well, I went door to door in an assembly constituency. People have joined this programme with great enthusiasm. I also handed over the national flag to them,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that the main objective of the Har Ghar Tiranga programme is to pay homage to those who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence, as well as to honour those who have contributed to protecting the nation’s sovereignty.

“At the same time, the Prime Minister’s goal of showing respect for the national flag and instilling a sense of patriotism has now reached every household. We all have to work together to keep the country united,” he said.

“This Har Ghar Tiranga programme ensures that we do not forget history under any circumstances,” Dr. Saha added.

In addition, Chief Minister extended his greetings to everyone in the state and the country on the occasion of Independence Day.
