CM visits Mariam Nagar Church, inspects preparedness

Agartala: December 23. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha visited Mariam Nagar Church this morning. During the visit, Assembly Speaker Ratan Chakraborty, Old Agartala Panchayat Samiti Chairman Biswajit Shil, AMC Ward No. 9 Corporator Uttam Ghosh, Mariamnagar Church Principal Father Lins Baby and Church Vice Principal Carol D’Souza were present during the visit.

Chief Minister Dr. Saha today has visited the fairgrounds and various places in the church area on the occasion of Christmas.

After the visit, the Chief Minister also met in an exchange meeting in the office of Father. In the meeting, the Chief Minister wished Christmas to everyone and discussed the development of water drainage system and communication system in Maryamnagar area. He said, like our country, people of different castes, religions, castes and languages live in Tripura state. Religious festivals of all religions are celebrated here with equal importance. Christmas is also celebrated here with the same dignity and enthusiasm. People of all religions spontaneously participate in this festival. Like every year, fair and cultural festival will be held here on the occasion of Christmas festival. People from all parts come to enjoy this festival.
