Collision at Sonamura injures three, Bolero car flees scene

Agartala, 29th December 2024:   A collision between a Bolero car and a TomTom (auto-rickshaw) near the Sonamura playground today resulted in injuries to the TomTom driver and two passengers. The Bolero car fled the scene immediately after the accident.

Reportedly, the passenger TomTom crashed into a Bolero car adjacent to the Sonamura playground earlier today. The TomTom driver identified as Santosh Biswas sustained injuries while passengers Rumi Chowdhury and a seven-year-old boy Shahin Chowdhury were also hurt in the crash.

Eyewitnesses described the terrifying accident, comparing it to scenes from a Bollywood movie.

The impact caused the TomTom to collide with the Bolero car and fall into the gallery of the Sonamura Sporting Association ground. The Bolero car immediately fled the scene after the collision.

Witnesses quickly rushed to assist the injured and transported them to the hospital for treatment. The incident highlights the ongoing issue of reckless driving and the urgent need for stricter enforcement and awareness campaigns to ensure road safety. The authorities are expected to investigate the incident and track down the fleeing vehicle.
