Agartala, 1st April 2025: The 29th Foundation Day of the TSR’s third battalion was commemorated with a vibrant program at its headquarters in Kachuchhara, Dhalai district. Director General of State Police Amitabh Ranjan inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Distinguished guests included IGP TSR Kerry Marak, DIG Northern Range Rati Ranjan Debnath, Commandant Binay Kishore Debbarma, Superintendent of Police Mihir Lal Das and senior officers of the state police and TSR.
A voluntary blood donation camp marked the occasion, with 101 jawans of the TSR Third Force stepping forward to donate blood to support critical patients. The event also featured community welfare initiatives such as distributing blankets to the needy and providing sports equipment to local youth. A photo exhibition, alongside stalls showcasing products crafted by the jawans, added an engaging touch, while a weapons display attracted significant attention. The program also honored the families of martyred jawans.
Prior to the festivities, tributes were paid to the martyrs of the force through a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the martyr altar, commemorating their ultimate sacrifice in maintaining peace in the state.
Addressing the gathering, Director General Amitabh Ranjan lauded the force’s critical role in navigating challenging times since its inception. He emphasized their continued readiness to face any situation and congratulated the force on its foundation day.
