Agartala, 15th August 2026: Tripura Pradesh Congress president Ashish Kumar Saha called upon citizens to resist caste-based discrimination and inequality, alleging that such practices had increased under the present ruling dispensation.
The Congress observed the 80th Independence Day at the Pradesh Congress Bhavan on Saturday. After hoisting the national flag, party leaders paid tribute to the martyrs.
Later, Congress leaders visited Gandhighat in the capital and paid floral tributes at the memorial.
