Agartala, May 05, 2023: Pradesh Congress leaders along with its workers will leave for Guwahati by train on May 07 next demanding the construction of a second railway line in Tripura.
They will hand over a memorandum through a deputation to the NF Railway headquarters on May 08. This memorandum will mention the district headquarters and sub-divisions of each district from Dharmanagar to Sabroom which this second railway line touches.
At the same time, demand will be made to establish railway division at Dharmanagar. Pradesh President Birajit Sinha said this at a press conference organized at the Congress Bhavan on Friday.
He also said that on June 25, the leaders and workers of the Congress will sit in a ‘Maha dharna’ to demand the formation of a development council in the capital city Agartala. He said that due to various reasons, the people’s areas have not been developed. In terms of tribal and sub-tribal statistics, a total of 45 development councils will be demanded in that ‘Maha dharna’.
Other leaders of the Pradesh Congress were also present in the press conference organized on this day.
