Agartala, 16th June 2026: A mason identified as Sanjib Das suffered critical injuries after a tragic accident at a construction site in Garjantali under Paschim Jalefa Gram Panchayat in Sabroom subdivision.
Reportedly, Das fell while working on a multi-storey building, following which an iron rod pierced his eye, causing severe injuries.
His fellow workers immediately rushed him to Sabroom Sub-divisional Hospital, where doctors provided initial treatment. However, as his condition worsened, physicians referred him to Udaipur Tepania Hospital for further medical attention.
He is currently undergoing treatment and remains in critical condition. The incident has created an atmosphere of shock and sadness among local residents.
