Agartala, 22nd May 2026: Sukla Charan Noatia on Friday said the state government is committed to protecting cooperative assets from encroachment and strengthening cooperative infrastructure across Tripura through planned development initiatives.
The minister made the statement while conducting an extensive field visit to inspect and review several cooperative properties in and around Agartala. His first visit was to the Narsingarh Sarbatya Sadak Samabai Samiti at Narsingarh, where he assessed the condition of the society’s premises and discussed a roadmap for its future development and modernization.
Speaking during the inspection, Sukla Charan Noatia said the government is giving priority to the preservation and proper utilization of cooperative assets for the benefit of the people. He stressed that modernization of cooperative institutions would play a key role in strengthening the sector in the state.
The minister also carried out site inspections of lands owned by the Tripura State Cooperative Consumers’ Federation (TSCCF) at different locations in Agartala.
At Natun Nagar along Airport Road, he reviewed a property allegedly under illegal occupation and stated that the government would take necessary measures to reclaim and protect cooperative land from encroachment.
Later, he visited the TSCCF land at Motor Stand in Agartala to inspect a proposed site for a new project aimed at boosting cooperative infrastructure in the state.
TSCCF Chairman Tutan Das and officials of the Cooperation Department accompanied the minister during the inspections.
Sukla Charan Noatia reiterated that the government remains firm in its resolve to safeguard government and cooperative properties while ensuring development-oriented initiatives for the welfare of the people of Tripura.
