Covid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav inaugurated by CM at IGM Hospital

Agartala July 15: Friday, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the “Covid Vaccine Amrit Mahotsav” at IGM Hospital Agartala.On the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, a 75-day campaign has been launched from Friday. Free Covid-19 precaution dose for 18-59 age groups will be provided at all the government vaccination centres for 75 days from July 15.

Speaking on the occasion CM Dr Manik Saha said as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav program this special covid vaccination drive has been started across the state as part of nationwide program. He further thanked PM Narendra Modi for the initiative.

CM Dr Manik Saha further said, the health department authorities and concerned administration are constantly keeping an eye on the situation and are ready to cope with adverse situation. He however urged upon the people of all sections to comply with the Covid protocols and wear masks compulsorily.

Notably, about 1,400 Covid vaccination centers in the state have been set up for providing the precautionary dose. So far 55 lakh 16 thousand 22 beneficiaries have been vaccinated against Covid in the state. At present, about 19 lakh 93 thousand ,788 citizens of the state will be given the dose of Covid vaccine protection. The state currently has one lakh 15,390 protective doses of Covid vaccine in stock.
