CPI-M holds protest rally against jobless situation, price hike and others

Agartala Dec 07: CPI-M on Wednesday held a massive rally in the border areas of Jaipur, Rajnagar, known as the most terror-infested area of the city.According to pre-announced program the CPI-M activists gathered in the area adjacent to Jaynagar JPC Club this morning. Immense excitement was noticed among the supporters of the party.

Led by left leader Subhashish Ganguly the CPI-M protested against several important issues including; undemocratic situation, lawlessness, fascist regime, violence, unprecedented hike in prices of essential commodities and unemployment in the state under BJP-led governance.CPI-M leaders alleged that unleashing political terror and violence in the state, the BJP wants to come back to power using ‘bike-bahini’.

The issue of death of CPI-M activist Sahid Mia in Charilam was also raised in the protest.

The CPI-M on Wednesday issued a terse warning to the BJP for the alleged political assaults in the last few weeks and said the party supporters would be “forced to take things in their own hands to ensure democratic rights”.

CPI-M West district secretary Ratan Das, Divisional secretary Sushashish Gnaguly, SFI state secretary Sandipan Deb, women leader Panchali Bhattacharjee, Fulan Bhattacharjee and other leaders took part in the day’s protest rally on Wednesday.
