Agartala, 19th March 2024: CPIM’s nominated candidate, Ratan Das, commenced his door-to-door campaign in the Ramnagar area for the upcoming Assembly by-election. Amidst his canvassing efforts, Das expressed optimism, hoping for the people’s support and blessings.
Having served as an MLA in Ramnagar previously, Das reiterated his commitment to serving the constituents, stating, “Today, CPM has again selected me as its candidate to serve the people.”
In a fiery tone, Das criticized the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, citing widespread discontent among the populace. He emphasized the government’s failures, asserting that the anger towards the BJP is palpable.
Das highlighted the thwarting of democratic processes in the previous assembly elections, alleging that the BJP hindered people’s right to vote effectively. Consequently, he urged citizens to rally against the BJP in both the upcoming by-elections and Lok Sabha elections.
He emphasized the importance of voters’ voices, urging them to express their sentiments comprehensively at the ballot box.
As the campaign intensifies in Ramnagar, Das’s remarks underscore the charged political atmosphere, with CPIM aiming to secure victory in the forthcoming by-election.
