Date:

By TC News Desk

Agartala, 7th November 2024:   Assam Rifles organised an informative lecture on causes and precautions against cancer on the occasion of National Cancer Awareness Day at Jailura, Assam and  Radhanagar, Tirpura on November 07.

The awareness campaign conducted by the Medical Officer and medical staff aimed to provide essential information about the disease, its symptoms and measures for early detection.

The lecture emphasised on the need to provide emotional and psychological support to those affected by the disease. A confirmatory cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming for the patient and access to counselling, support groups, and community resources can help individuals and their families cope with the emotional and physical challenges associated with it.

A total of 125 people including Assam Rifles personnels, their families and locals attended the lecture.
