Agartala, 7th November 2023:   The CPIM state office observed the 107th anniversary of the ‘November Biplab Diwas’ on Tuesday, with the state secretary and MLA Jitendra Chowdhury highlighting the significance of the Soviet model for India. He said that the Soviet Union had shown the way out of exploitation, oppression and discrimination for the people of India, and that there was no alternative to the Soviet Party in the present crisis.

The ‘November Biplab’, which took place on November 7, 1917, was a landmark event in world history, when the working class seized power in Russia following the Marxist ideology and established a socialist state. The CPIM state office paid tribute to the revolutionaries and their achievements on this occasion.

Jitendra Chowdhury said that the Soviet Union had collapsed in 1991, but after three decades, it was evident that the Soviet Union had no substitute. He said that the bourgeois state power in the country had led to anarchy and misery for the people, and that the ‘November Biplab’ was becoming increasingly relevant. He urged the people to join the CPIM and fight for a socialist alternative.
