Agartala, 24th June 2026: The CPI(M) North District Committee on Wednesday organized a condolence meeting at the Swami Vivekananda Sardha Shatabarshiki Bhavan in memory of former MLA and Minister Faizur Rahman.
The gathering was attended by former Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, CPI(M) North District Secretary Amitava Dutta, MLAs Islam Uddin and Shailendranath, along with Rahman’s son Badrul Islam and several party leaders and workers from across the district.
In his address, Manik Sarkar reflected on the late leader’s long political journey, organizational skills, and commitment to public welfare. He described Faizur Rahman as a true people’s leader who dedicated his life to serving the common masses. Sarkar emphasized that Rahman’s devotion, political ideals, and organizational contributions would remain a source of inspiration for future generations of political activists.
A large number of party workers and supporters from different parts of North Tripura joined the condolence meeting to pay their respects. Speakers recalled Rahman’s active life, political struggles, and contributions to society, urging the younger generation to uphold his ideals and continue his legacy of public service.
