Agartala, 8th April 2025:   The capital city witnessed a spirited demonstration today as the CPI(M) Sadar Sub-Divisional Committee organized a procession to protest against the central government’s decision to increase cooking gas prices by Rs 50.

The rally began at the Sadar Sub-Divisional Office and made its way through various city roads, drawing attention to what the party termed as “anti-people policies.”

Speaking to media personnel here, a CPI(M) leader criticized the BJP-led government for its recent decisions, including the implementation of the amended Waqf Bill, which they claim will curtail the rights of the Muslim community.

The leader expressed concern over the sudden price hike, stating that it has placed a significant burden on the middle class and will adversely impact people across all sections of society.
