Agartala, 1st November 2024:   For the past two weeks, CT scan services have been unavailable at Unakoti District Hospital in Kailashahar leaving the entire district’s residents without access to this vital medical facility. The state government has been providing free CT scan services for the past two years to improve healthcare for the common people, a decision that was widely applauded. However, the sudden halt in services has caused significant inconvenience.

Unakoti District Hospital authorities have refrained from commenting publicly on the matter. An unconfirmed source indicated that the CT scan service provider ceased operations due to the insistence of high-ranking state health department officials. “The reason for the stoppage of the CT scan service is unclear, but it is causing undue hardship for the public,” stated a hospital insider.

The affected families and patients have urged the authorities to resume CT scan services promptly. “We need these services to be available as soon as possible,” demanded a patient’s relative.

The disruption highlights the critical need for continuous and reliable healthcare services in the district. The public remains hopeful that the issue will be addressed swiftly to restore normalcy.
