Decomposed deadbody recovered at Halaipur village panchayat in Kailashahar

Agartala, December 19, 2022: A deadbody of an unidentified person was recovered at Halaipar village panchayat area on Monday. On receiving the information, a large police force led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer and OC of Kailashahar police station rushed to the spot.

It is learned that Jyotish Das, a resident of ward number five of Halaipar village panchayat, went to see his pond at around 11 AM. Sometimes Jyotish Das goes to see the fishes in the pond. His pond is located next to a rubber plantation. While going to the pond, he saw something black hanging from a tree in the rubber garden. A little further he saw a dead body hanging from a tree branch. When he screamed, the surrounding people came running.

The Pradhan of Halaipar village panchayat rushed to the spot after receiving the news. The Pradhan came to the spot and reported the dead body to the Kailasahar police station. The Kailasahar police station staff rushed to the spot.

Witnesses said there were bottles and glasses of liquor next to the body. However, there is no news of any person missing from Halaipar village. The corpse is so decomposed that the flesh of the body hangs. The people of the area are claiming that the dead body will be of several days back.

Regarding the incident, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Dhruba Nath said, after the police reached the spot, the forensic team and the doctors of Unakoti District Hospital were informed. Forensic team reached the spot and started investigation. Moreover, there is no missing diary in Halaipar or any nearby village in Kailashahar police station. However, initially the dead body will be that of a man, he said. The forensic report will reveal the real reason behind the death. This incident has spread an intense fear in Halaipar village panchayat area.
