Agartala, January 11, 2023: The rubber factory workers of Takma TFDPC office in Santirbazar sub-division made a deputation to the Divisional Manager demanding increase in their salary and allowances on Wednesday.
This rubber factory was the largest rubber factory in North Eastern region. This factory was established by the Chief Minister of the state, Nipen Chakraborty.
Many workers worked in this factory and earned their livelihood. Even though the prices of various daily necessities increased by leaps and bounds in the market, the income of the workers in this factory did not increase.
Today the workers of the factory made a deputation to the divisional manager of the factory with a total of 5-point charter of demands including increase in their salary and allowances. If the workers do not heed their demands to know, they will be forced to carry out larger movements in the future.
