Agartala, August 18, 2022: Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurated the DNA Club at Bishalgarh’s Office Tilla Class XII School and the newly constructed dining hall and library at Purba Lakshmibil School. This DNA club was established in the school with the aim of increasing awareness among the students about natural resources and to gain more knowledge among the students about organic resources.
Bishalgarh Municipal Council chairman Anjan Purkayastha, vice-chairman Sushanta Deb, District Education Officer Habul Lodh, School Management Committee Chairman Sujoy Dey and others were present at the opening ceremony on Thursday. Apart from this, the Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated the newly built mid-day meal dining room and school library room of Purba Lakshmibil Higher Secondary School on this day.
Deputy CM was accompanied by Sepahijala Zilla Parishad Supriya Das Datta, Bishalgarh Municipal Council vice-chairman Sushanta Deb, prominent social worker Gouranga Bhowmik, were also present on the occasion. School Management Committee Chairman Tapan Das, Headmaster of the school along with other teachers.
Purba Lakshmibil High School was established in 1952. At present, the infrastructure of the school has been greatly improved.
Deputy Chief Minister Dev Varma said that education removes all the darkness of the society. Therefore, the state government has emphasized on improving the quality of education and improving the infrastructure of schools. Construction of library, DNA club, dining hall, drinking water system, cycle stand, boundary, school building, hostel etc. has been done in last four years. He said that it is not enough to be educated in traditional education only. Being a good person should have the mentality of working for the society.
