Deputy CM inaugurates blood donation camp of ATGDA, 71 volunteers donated blood

Agartala, September 20, 2022: Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma on Tuesday inaugurated a blood donation camp named as ‘Raktdaan Amrit Mahotsav’ organized by All Tripura Government Doctors’ Association (ATGDA) at the premises of Agartala Government Medical College and Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital here.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Dev Varma said “The service provided by state’s top government-run hospital i.e. GBP Hospital, that cannot be given by anyone. Despite of several problems, the doctors are making their untiring efforts to provide better service to the people of this state. Earlier, ILS Hospital was not there in this state, I visited this hospital. However, there has been a lot of improvement in GBP Hospital. Change becomes when everyone is having that outlook to introduce something new facilities.”

Deputy CM was accompanied by Secretary of Health department Dr Debasish Basu, Director of Medical Education Prof Dr Chinmoy Biswas, Principal of AGMC Prof Dr Manjushri Roy, ATGDA president Dr Sanjib Debbarma, Association’s Secretary Dr Shankar Chakraborty and members from different districts were present at the inaugural ceremony of the camp.

All CWC members of ATGDA participated actively. A total of 71 volunteers donated blood. ATGDA convey heartiest thanks to all the respected donors.
