Agartala, 13th July 2025: Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Club inaugurated its much-anticipated Durga Puja theme, “A Reverent Tribute to Martyrs,” in a formal ceremony led by Member of Parliament Rajib Bhattacharjee. The club’s puja mandap will this year be adorned with thematic elements commemorating the sacrifices of national heroes, accompanied by a captivating light-and-sound show.
The unveiling event held at the club premises also featured a mega health camp offering free check-ups to local residents highlighting the club’s continued commitment to community welfare.
Addressing the gathering, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee praised the club’s longstanding tradition of blending cultural celebration with social responsibility. “Each year, the club not only celebrates Durga Puja with grandeur but also contributes meaningfully to society. From North to South, the entire state feels a wave of excitement around this festival. Despite massive crowds, there has never been any untoward incident at the pandal, a testament to the excellent management,” he remarked.
He further added, “This year’s theme is a noble gesture that preserves our cultural heritage while paying homage to those who laid down their lives for the nation. It deserves heartfelt appreciation.”
