Minister Bikash inspects St. Anthony’s Home Hostel at Champaknagar, highlights need for infrastructure overhaul

Agartala, 13th July 2025:   Tribal Welfare minister Bikash Debbarma conducted a comprehensive inspection of the St. Anthony’s Home Hostel located in Belbari, Champaknagar today engaging directly with students and staff to assess accommodation conditions, health standards, cleanliness and daily operational systems.

During the visit, the minister identified several pressing issues concerning the hostel’s infrastructure. Expressing concern over the structural shortcomings, he emphasized the direct impact such deficiencies could have on students’ mental well-being and their learning environment.

“A clean and healthy atmosphere is crucial for effective education. Infrastructure gaps can disrupt not only mental health but also hinder the overall educational process,” Debbarma stated.

He firmly advocated for immediate internal renovations and assured that directives would be issued to the relevant departments to resolve the issues at the earliest.

“The children in this hostel are our future. Ensuring a safe, beautiful, and supportive environment for them is our collective responsibility,” he added.

Local residents have lauded the minister’s initiative, viewing it as a reflection of his compassionate and responsible approach.
