Agartala, March 14: A destructive fire engulfed three shops near Dewan Pasha Bridge number 3 at about 3 AM on Tuesday morning.
In the morning, the shop owners found nothing but the ruins of their shops. Pradyut Dey Sarkar, chairperson of Dharmanagar Municipal Council, rushed to the area after getting the news of the incident.
The shops of those whose shops were burnt to ashes are under 57-Jubarajnagar assembly constituency, but their houses are in 56-Dharmanagar assembly constituency and within Dharmanagar Municipal Council area.
