Development is key priority of BJP: CM

Agartala: September 11. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha today claimed that since the establishment of the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state in 2018, development politics has been seen as a priority in the state.

“Since the establishment of the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state in 2018, development politics has been seen as a priority in the state. Apart from the development of rural areas, the state government is taking several strong steps for the development of infrastructure in urban and rural areas. In terms of beautification and infrastructural development, there has been a huge difference between the Agartala of today and the Agartala of four years ago”, said CM.

He further said that those who love this city with their heart and soul must have caught these differences in their eyes. Today Dr Saha has visited various areas of his own Assembly 8 Town Bardowali along with local public representatives and officials.

“During the visit, the cooperative mentality that I got from the locals in the overall development of the area, I am sure that the pace of development work will be accelerated in the coming days”, he sauid.

Today, along with Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder, Deputy Mayor, Corporators, Secretary of Urban Development Department, District Magistrate Sub-Divisional Magistrate and prominent social workers of the area, visited various places of Town No. 8 Bardowali Assembly area.

“In the Marg Darshan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of “Azadika Amrit Mahatsav”, I was informed in detail about the progress of the ponds under Amrit Sarovar project undertaken in this area and gave necessary instructions to the concerned officials. Besides, I was also informed about various facilities and disadvantages including drainage system from the local residents. I am sure that the cooperative mentality that I got from the local residents in the overall development will accelerate the pace of development work in the coming days”, he said.
