Agartala, 2nd April 2025: After over three decades, development has finally touched Siddhi Ashram Police Para in the Badharghat Assembly constituency, as the road in the area has been newly repaired and paved under the initiative of the Double Engine government. The residents from children to the elderly expressed joy and gratitude at this long-awaited improvement.
The road, which was last repaired in 1992 by the late Dilip Sarkar, a beloved former MLA of Badharghat had been in a state of disrepair for years. The current MLA of Badharghat and younger sister of Dilip Sarkar, Mina Rani Sarkar officially inaugurated the new road today.
The people of the area brimming with excitement welcomed the MLA with bouquets of flowers to show their appreciation. “This road has been a lifeline for our community, and we’ve waited far too long for its revival. We are truly grateful to MLA Sarkar for fulfilling this need,” said Subrata Das, a resident of the area.
Visibly moved by the warm reception, MLA Sarkar expressed her emotions while addressing the gathering. “This moment is very special for me. My late brother always worked for the welfare of this constituency, and today I feel honored to continue his legacy by bringing development here,” she said.
The event marked not just the repair of a road but also the renewal of hope and trust among the residents of Siddhi Ashram Police Para, as development continues to reach overlooked corners of the state.
