Dharmanagar MC’s Ward No.11, local NGOs and Clubs offer cold water among pedestrians

Agartala, 24th May 2024:   Amidst the scorching summer heat, a commendable initiative was taken in the Madhya Nayapara area of North Tripura District on Thursday, May 23rd. Under the auspices of Ward No. 11, a humanitarian effort to provide cold water to pedestrians was successfully conducted.

Local NGOs, clubs, and civic-minded citizens of Dharmanagar city joined forces to offer respite to those braving the intense heat by distributing refreshing cold drinks. The event, which took place in the heart of the Madhya Nayapara area, saw more than 650 grateful passers-by receiving this much-needed relief.

The drive was supported by notable local figures including Amar Deb, the councilor of Ward No. 11, and Gayitri Ghosh, the district Sampadika of the BJP in Uttar district. They were joined by Chandan Ghosh, the booth president of Booth No. 19 of the Bagbassa assembly constituency, Pijush Das, the booth president of BJP Dharmanagar assembly constituency Booth No. 37, Mithan Das, the secretary of Booth No. 37, and Rajib Ghosh among others.
