It is noted that Dharmanagar Rotary Club started its journey on May 22, 2005. At that time the club had branches only in Dharmanagar and Agartala in the state of Tripura. Now the number of these clubs in this state has increased to nine. The district comprises seven states of North Eastern region and large part of West Bengal.

People support Rotary Club in various service activities of Dharmanagar. So Dharmanagar residents have a right to this club. The members of this club came to the people with food items and sanitizers when everyone was under house isolation during the COVID situation.

This club has been working in Dakshin Ganganagar village panchayat by selecting it as ideal village after seeing the poor social and economic condition of the people.

At present, a review by the health department across the state has shown that Ganganagar has the highest number of TB cases.

Therefore, the Border Security Force has approached the State Health Department and said that the Rotary Club will start working. Rotary Club International is working to eradicate polio around the world in partnership with WHO.

Taking them as role models, Rotaract club members continue to do social service work. They are working in various schools especially in the adult education and in Dharmanagar Government University. The number of polio cases in the world is almost non-existent, with only a few in Pakistan and Afghanistan combined. They are grateful to journalists and news workers for encouraging them through their pens to encourage them in various activities.

Therefore, the members of the Rotary Club welcomed the local journalists through a short ceremony on Sunday, expressing their gratitude to the journalists.
