Agartala, 2nd April 2025: A new vocational training center was officially inaugurated today at Birchandra Nagar Lassi Camp in the Santirbazar subdivision. This initiative was led by the state government, aims to equip 37 surrendered individuals residing in the camp with skills for sustainable livelihoods.
The inauguration program witnessed the presence of DIG Krishnendu Chakraborty, Additional SPS Branch Officer Chandan Saha, South District Additional District Magistrate Hemanta Debbarma, South District Police Officer Mayura Krishna Chandrasekhar, Skill Development DDO PG Saha, and Tribal Welfare Joint Director V Darlong, among others.
The center will offer training in various fields, including computer repairing, driving, tailoring, and mobile repairing. Speakers at the event emphasized the transformative potential of the training in creating opportunities and fostering self-reliance among the participants.
