Agartala, April 29, 2023: Dr Shatabhisha Sarkar, Sr. Scientist and Head, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sepahijala, CAU(I), Tripura welcomed Director of Research, CAU, Imphal, Manipur Dr. L. M. Garnayak and Dean, College of Fisheries, Lembucherra, CAU(I), Tripura, Prof. (Dr) Ratan Kumar Saha.
A Farmer-Scientist interaction was conducted at Latiacherra, Jampuijala R.D block Sepahijala Tripura on 29th April 2023. Mr. Ramanuj Chakraborty, SMS (Fisheries) and Dr Shatabhisha Sarkar, Sr. Scientist and Head, KVK Sepahijala briefly narrated about fisheries field activities of DBT Kishan Project under KVK, Sepahijala.
During the programme, fish farmers were actively participated and interacted with the dignitaries.
Dr. L. M. Garnayak, Director of Research, CAU, Imphal along with Prof. (Dr) R. K. Saha, Dean, College of Fisheries, CAU (I), Lembucherra visited KVK Sepahijala farm at Latiacherra.
Dr Ayam Pushparani Devi, SMS (Horticulture) and Dr. Utpal Dey, SMS (Plant Protection) elaborated the activities of DBT Project “Collection, conservation and morpho-phenological characterization of citrus germplasm of NE Region” of KVK, Sepahijala, Tripura.
Dr Ayam Pushparani Devi, SMS (Horticulture) & PI, highlighted about the various citrus germplasm collected from different parts of Tripura which was maintained in shade net house at KVK farm, further Dr. Utpal Dey, SMS (Plant Protection) & Co-PI, mentioned that the collected citrus germplasms will be conserve in field gene bank of KVK Sepahijala.
The dignitaries also visited others activities like field trials, other project activities and farm activities of KVK Sepahijala and interacted with staff of KVK Sepahijala.
