Agartala, 26th September 2026 : An acute water shortage has reportedly affected Kulai Dhalai District Hospital, causing serious inconvenience to patients and their attendants.
According to patients and their family members, drinking water has not been available at the hospital since Friday night, while there is also no water supply in the hospital toilets. A patient’s family member alleged that not even a single drop of water was coming from the taps, making it extremely difficult for patients and attendants to use the toilets.
Some people have reportedly been forced to use public toilets outside the hospital, while others have had to purchase drinking water from nearby shops to meet their needs.
Patients and attendants claimed that doctors and healthcare workers on duty have been witnessing the situation since Friday night, but alleged that no effective action has been taken to address the problem.
Meanwhile, frequent power outages have also reportedly been affecting the hospital premises. Patients and their family members have urged the concerned authorities to intervene immediately and resolve both the water and electricity-related problems at the hospital.
