Agartala, 8th June 2025: Bishalgarh police today arrested a notorious drug peddler Gopal Das from his residence in the Baidyardighi area along with vials of brown sugar.
Reportedly, for a long time, Gopal Das had been involved in drug trafficking, contributing to the destruction of the local youth. Many local youths become addicted after taking brown sugar from him, leading to the rise of antisocial activities in the locality.
Due to which, local residents had repeatedly demanded his arrest to curb his ongoing illegal activities. Acting on this demand, the police conducted a successful raid at his residence this afternoon and arrested him red-handed with a large quantity of brown sugar containers.
According to the officials, Das will be produced before the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Court tomorrow.
