Agartala, 10th March 2025 : Leftist youth organizations DYFI and TYF organized a protest march today opposing the BJP government’s alleged corruption, misgovernance and culture of intimidation.
Speaking to reporters after the march, DYFI state secretary Nabarun Deb accused the state of being engulfed in rampant corruption. He highlighted that irregularities and scandals have plagued various departments, including the health sector, with the Chief Minister’s offices allegedly being at the center of these issues. He urged the public to unite against the BJP government’s misgovernance, corruption and intimidation tactics.
DYFI state president Palash Bhowmik pointed out that instances of corruption across various departments during BJP’s rule have been well-documented. He emphasized that today’s march aimed to amplify the protest against this corruption and culture of intimidation.
Discussing the broader state of affairs, Bhowmik added that the protest was primarily intended to raise public awareness and encourage citizens to stand against the BJP government’s misrule.
