Agartala, September 27, 2022: DYFI state committee and TYF central committee on Tuesday sought clarification from the Education minister Ratanlal Nath for contradictory statement the respective minister and Teachers’ Recruitment Board of Tripura in accommodating all TET-qualified aspirants in their respective jobs.

On Tuesday, a four-member delegation of DYFI state committee and TYF central committee gave deputation to the chairman of TRBT on two-point charter of demands.

Speaking to media persons in front of Shiksha Bhavan here on Tuesday afternoon, DYFI state secretary Nabarun Deb said “We, Democratic Youth Federation of India, Tripura State Committee and Tribal Youth Federation, Central Committee are deeply concerned about the role of TRBT as this body has conducted TET examination only twice in last four years from 2019 to 2022.”

“Every year thousands of youths of the state are passing B.Ed., D.El.Ed. and M.Ed. but they are deprived of getting the opportunity to appear for TET exam. On the other hand, those who are sitting on the side are also not recruited. In this context, we mainly demand your clarification and quick action on two issues”, he added.

The demands are- Firstly, Last year TET exam was held on September 26, 2021. Then a year passed off, no more exams has been conducted. As a result, we demand to take the TET exam quickly this year and publish the result of the exam as soon as possible. Secondly, on December 10, 2021, the Education minister held a press conference along with two top level education officials and announced the recruitment of 2611 and 300-400 more teachers for Vidyajyoti schools. When the government announced the press conference along with the education officer to recruit so many teachers, we noticed that TRBT published the list of 256 out of 1045 passers in TET-1 two days back. Here we demand clarification on this contradictory role of TRBT and Education minister.
