Miscreants leave 26-year old youth half-dead position at Charilam RD Block

Agartala, September 27, 2022: A 26-year old youth was brutally beaten up by a group of four to five miscreants covering their face with black clothes and left him at a reserve forest area couple of metres away from his house located at Uttar Mura para of Aralia Gram Panchayat under Charilam RD Block on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.

It is reported that the 26-year old youth named Amir Hussain who is a tiles mason by profession went to sleep after having dinner at his house like other days. He was alone at home as his wife Sampa Begum went to her father’s house at Durganagar. When his mother was about to lie on her bed, she heard scream of her son Amir. She rushed to her son’s room and saw that four to five miscreants covering their face with black clothes carrying away Amir. His mother Salima Akhtar tried to stop, but she was kicked by the miscreants.

These miscreants took Amir to the deep forest and beat him up severely, leaving him behind in a half-dead position. Hearing hue and cry of Salima Akhtar, people of the village rushed to Amir’s house. The local people suspected that the miscreants could be cow thieves or robbers. However, everyone starting searching for Amir. Villagers rushed to the reserve forest and found Amir half dead. Amir was rescued and brought home. Water poured on his head, but he was unable to speak and open his eyes. He was immediately shifted to Bishalgarh sub-divisional hospital.

The incident was reported to the Bishalgarh police station by the people of the village and the family. Bishalgarh police reached the spot and are investigating the matter.
