Agartala, May 20, 2023:  Education department is going to be strict with private tuition. Many government teachers will be punished. Director of Education department NC Sharma has ordered to write a letter against those teachers. Government teachers have been enjoying in the state since the left era.

After the formation of the BJP-led government in the state in 2018, the Education department issued a notification saying that those who are government teachers cannot engage in private tuition and private coaching classes. But even then it is seen that many government teachers are engaged in private tuition. The Education Department is going to take action against the teachers who are giving tuition illegally.

A directive was issued on Friday stating that many government teachers are engaged in private tuition. But the government teachers were warned by issuing guidelines at various times from the Education department. But in this regard those involved in such activities in disobedience of the Government, all the District Education Officers have been directed to arrange for inquiry into the matter through various officers posted in the respective districts and inform this Department to take appropriate action against the teachers involved in private tuition.

It should be noted that the competition of private tuition in the state has been going on since the Leftist era. Teachers are earning lakhs of rupees in a month by engaging in private tuition from the morning to evening. In this way, the studies in the schools have been lagging behind as they don’t have the time to visit office. Especially in remote areas, it can be observed that teachers are not present in schools more than two or three days a week. This image is for some teachers in the state. Most of the teachers are absent from school without taking any leave. Now it remains to be seen how strict the guidelines signed by NC Sharma, the director of the state education department, will be.
