Agartala, 8TH May 2025:   In a significant security alert, eight factory-made pistols and 16 empty magazines were recovered from two unclaimed bags at Agartala Railway Station on Thursday.

The discovery was made by personnel of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) during a routine inspection.

The arms were found inside the general coach of Train No. 14620, which had arrived from Firozpur. According to RPF Assistant Commandant BK Sinha, two RPF personnel on duty noticed the suspicious bags around 8:00 AM, hours after the train reached the station at approximately 4:30 AM.”The bags were lying unclaimed in a general compartment.
