Agartala, 30th April 2026 : A tragic incident occurred in the Korailong area under Teliamura police station on Thursday, claiming the life of an elderly woman. The deceased, identified as Anu Yadav, aged around 60, was fatally electrocuted while engaged in routine household work at her residence.
According to reports, she accidentally came into contact with a live electrical source, resulting in severe electrocution. Family members immediately rushed her to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital, but doctors declared her dead upon arrival.
The sudden demise has cast a pall of grief across the Korailong locality. Relatives, neighbors, and well-wishers gathered at the hospital to mourn the loss. The incident serves as a grim reminder that even minor negligence in handling electricity can prove fatal.
