Agartala, 19th December 2024: A 60-year-old resident of Khayerpur Usha Das was fatally struck by a car while returning home after collecting her old age allowance. The accident took place as she was crossing the road, leaving her with serious injuries.
Local residents rushed Usha Das to GB Hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving. According to her family, she died soon after being admitted to the hospital.
Eyewitnesses reported that the driver of the vehicle responsible for the accident was apprehended by local people. Both the driver and the vehicle are currently in the custody of Ranir Bazar Police Station. The police are investigating the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
