Agartala, 17th May 2026: A power worker sustained severe injuries while carrying out electrical maintenance work at the Power Grid substation in the GB 79 Tilla area of Agartala.
According to reports, the injured worker, identified as Bishwaray Debbarma, suffered critical burn injuries across most parts of his body and is currently battling for life at GB Hospital.
It has been alleged that negligence by fellow workers led to the accident, resulting in the serious condition of the victim. Following the incident, Debbarma was immediately rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Hospital sources confirmed that his condition remains critical as he continues to receive intensive medical care.Further details regarding the incident are awaited.
