Agartala, 10th February 2026 : In a bid to create employment opportunities in the central armed forces and promote self-reliance among youth, the state government and South Tripura district administration have jointly launched a free training program under the Jagrata project.
The initiative was formally inaugurated at Baikhora Higher Secondary School in Santirbazar subdivision, targeting candidates preparing for the Central Armed Forces and SSC GD examinations.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by District Magistrate Mohammad Sajjad P., MLA Pramod Reang, Additional District Magistrate Habiz Uddin, and Tapas Dutta, Chairman of the Jolaibari Panchayat Samiti, along with other dignitaries.
The program’s primary objective is to provide structured training to economically disadvantaged youth, enabling them to secure employment in the central forces and build sustainable livelihoods.
The training will be offered entirely free of cost, with special arrangements made to support participants. The launch generated significant enthusiasm among local young men and women, who expressed optimism about the opportunities ahead.
