Escort vehicle of ex-MoS Pratima Bhoumik meets accident, 3 TSR jawans injured

Agartala, 17th June 2025:   A vehicle from the security convoy of former Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik met with a serious accident near the Melaghar police station earlier today, leaving three Tripura State Rifles (TSR) personnel injured.

According to preliminary reports, the incident took place while the escort team was en route through the Melaghar area. The impact of the crash resulted in significant injuries to the security personnel, one of whom was later shifted to GB Hospital in Agartala due to his critical condition.

Local police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Eyewitnesses reported a sudden loss of control, though officials have yet to confirm whether mechanical failure or external factors were involved.
