Agartala: September 20. Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar today claimed that the central leadership has removed Biplab Kumar Deb from Chief Minister Post as the top brass of the party has realized that Deb has already destroyed the party in last four years.

Sarkar who is also leader of opposition said this while addressing the Third Conference of All India Democratic Women’s Association West Tripura District Committee at Bhanu Ghosh Smriti Bhavan today.

“Attacks on women are on rise in the state. Police are not taking cases. Whenever anyone goes to police station, they direct victims to solve the issues among them. The government has no role in it. People are affected, disturbed, embarrassed by. And if the current government is there, it is not possible to think that these problems will be solved. So the only solution is to oust this government to solve crime related women. The BJP has realized that former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has destroyed the party in the last four years”, he said.

Sarkar further claimed that BJP has lost its ground and people are nowadays leaving the party.

The leader of the opposition took a dig at the former Chief Minister Biplap Kumar Deb and said, “Biplap Kumar Deb has proudly said that he will serve as Chief Minister till 2047. But it was seen that he was thrown out of the team within five years. Now the party leaders has sent him away from the state”.Sarkar claimed that the party leadership has understood that Biplab has been nominated for the Rajya Sabha seat to keep him under control.
