Agartala, 24th October 2025: Former Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik visited GB Hospital here today to meet those injured in the recent violence in Kamalpur. During her visit, she interacted with the victims and was briefed on the sequence of events surrounding the incident.
Bhoumik later held discussions with doctors and healthcare staff at the hospital to assess the medical treatment and condition of the injured individuals. Speaking to the media, she strongly condemned the attack, alleging that a conspiracy was being carried out under the guise of a bandh.
She revealed that a BDO and an engineer from Salema block were among those targeted in what she described as a “life-threatening assault.” Calling the incident “deeply unfortunate,” Bhoumik demanded strict punishment for those involved in the attack.
