Agartala, 12th February 2025 :    A family narrowly escaped a daytime theft attempt at Chinurani Bhoumik’s residence in the Naraua area of Bishalgarh.

Taking advantage of the solitude, a group of thieves attempted to break in through the roof using a areca nut tree to access the terrace and then trying to break the door lock with a crowbar. Upon hearing loud noises, neighbors raised an alarm, causing the thieves to flee the scene.

Family members, alerted by the commotion, rushed to the house and immediately notified the Bishalgarh Police Station. The residents of the area suspect that some local youths, addicted to drugs, are responsible for the frequent daytime thefts, aiming to fund their addiction.

Thanks to the timely intervention of the neighbors, Chinurani Bhoumik and her family escaped harm. The Bishalgarh police have been informed and are investigating the incident.
