Agartala, 27th September 2025: The Agriculture Department in collaboration with the TRESP District Project Management Unit (DPMU) has initiated a Farmer Field School (FFS) on 26th September 2025 at Hukbar PG, Kshirodenagar VC, under Padmabill Block. The programme is being conducted under the direct supervision of Dr. Sajal Saha, Cluster Coordinator (Agri), TRESP, with the active support of Master Trainers at the block level.
The PG members have selected Brinjal cultivation as their focus crop, and the FFS sessions are imparting scientific techniques of vegetable farming to ensure higher productivity and sustainable practices. The sincerity and enthusiasm of the PG members in adopting modern methods reflect their strong commitment towards agricultural advancement.
Simultaneously, similar field-level activities are being carried out across various TRESP blocks in Tripura. The structured and scientific approach of TRESP has begun to instill confidence among hundreds of women farmers in the state. With working capital support already reaching PG members, the project is creating a positive wave of hope, empowerment, and agricultural transformation in rural Tripura.
