Agartala, 27th September 2025: The Lions Club of Kailashahar organized the third edition of its annual Mega Haat-Bazaar today at the picturesque Shobha Bagan grounds, marking a vibrant celebration of community service and social responsibility.
The event was inaugurated by Tinku Roy, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs. In presence of Amalendu Das, Sabhadhipati of the Unakoti Zilla Parishad; Arghya Saha, Additional District Magistrate; Shukla Banik, President of the Kailashahar Lions Club; and Sumedha Das, owner of Shobha Bagan, among others.
A key highlight of the Mega Hat-Bazaar was the array of free stalls set up exclusively for garden workers from the Shobha Bagan area. These stalls offered a wide range of essential items including clothing, children’s toys, cosmetics, and household plastic goods. Workers were invited to select items based on their needs, and the atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude as many left with new clothes and gifts for their children.
Speaking at the inauguration, Minister Tinku Roy praised the Lions Club’s initiative, stating, “This effort reflects their deep commitment to society. Standing beside workers and the common people through such service-oriented programs is truly commendable.”
Lions Club President Shukla Banik affirmed that similar initiatives would continue in the future to support economically disadvantaged communities.
More than just a fair, the third annual Mega Hat-Bazaar stood out as a shining example of compassion and community spirit.
