Agartala, 30th July 2025: In a major boost to the farming community, over 45.43 crore will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of registered farmers in Tripura under the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) on August 2.
The announcement was made by Tripura’s Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath today. He stated that the financial aid is a recognition of the relentless hard work of farmers and the government’s commitment to ensuring their welfare.
“Both the central and state governments are working hand in hand to secure the livelihoods of farmers and promote agricultural growth. As part of this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transfer the 20th installment of PM-KISAN directly from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, at 11 AM on August 2,” said Nath.
The Minister also informed that the state-level event will be organised at the State Agriculture Research Station in AD Nagar, Agartala, where he will be present to attend the live telecast of the Prime Minister’s address.
He added that a total of 45 crore 43 lakh 74 thousand will be disbursed to the eligible beneficiaries in Tripura under the scheme on that day.
“Prime Minister Modi will also interact directly with farmers during the program. I urge everyone to join the event from their villages or nearby Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) and listen to the Prime Minister’s message. This government stands firmly with the farmers and will continue to support them,” the Minister said.
